Your Baby's Development at 10 Weeks
The ear canals are developing within your baby and the ears are beginning to form on the sides of their head when they are ten weeks old. Your kid has two little nostrils in the nose and an upper lip, if you could view their face. All of the future milk teeth are already inside the developing jawbones. The heart beats 180 times per minute, or two to three times quicker than your own heart, when it is completely developed. The baby is moving erratically, little motions that are visible on an ultrasound scan even if you cannot feel them.
As for you, as part of your maternity care, you will be provided screening at 10 weeks to determine the baby's risk of having Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, or Patau's syndrome. The flu (influenza) and whooping cough (pertussis) pose a greater risk to expectant mothers and their unborn children. To protect you and your unborn child, vaccination against whooping cough and the flu is advised during pregnancy. It's critical to understand that domestic abuse during pregnancy raises the chance of infections, miscarriage, and other issues for both you and your unborn child. Financial, mental, or physical abuse can occur, and it frequently begins during pregnancy.
